With the market expected to see more competition this year again, getting your offer noticed is going to be huge. Here are three ways to make your stand out.
1. Get Pre-Approved – Getting pre-approved is probably the most important thing you can do to get your offer noticed. Too often, people start shopping for a home before a lender has reviewed their financial situation and agreed to lend them money. Avoid the potential setback by getting pre-approved before starting your search. When a seller sees your offer accompanied by an official letter stating a lender is already willing to lend you the money, your offer will rise to the top from those potential borrowers who have yet to be approved.
2. Include an Offer Letter – Letting the seller know what you like about their home and a little about yourself could increase your chances of getting noticed. For some, not everything is solely about the money. Many sellers can be persuaded to sell their home to a young family starting out and someone relocating for their dream job and then finding their dream home.
3. Get the Realtors Talking – Knowing how many other offers have been placed on a property, why the seller is moving, and any issues with the property could help give you a better idea on what type of offer should be made to get you noticed. If there is a lot of interest, a higher bid might be the way to go. Feeling out the entire situation could give you the heads up you need to get noticed right away.
